The Boston Restaurant Talk blog reported on Wednesday, April 29, that Widowmaker Brewing Co. will move its seasonal beer garden from Kilroy Square in downtown Quincy to a new site in the Wollaston neighborhood of Quincy.
In a Facebook post, a spokesperson for the brewery stated:
"We have seen and appreciated the countless messages from people bummed by the idea of us not returning to Quincy for Year 8 of our Beer Garden. This week, the shovels went into the ground. We are moving, but we are not leaving. Follow @wollastongardens."
The new beer garden will be named Wollaston Gardens and will sit at the former Wollaston Theatre site at 18 Beale St. It will debut on Friday, May 15, and will remain open from Thursday through Saturday each week.
