The Duxbury Music Festival (DMF) will return for a weeklong run from June 26 to July 3. It will feature concerts and family-friendly activities across multiple venues, including the Town Green, the Ellison Center for the Arts, and The Art Complex Museum.
According to The Enterprise of Brockton, a free outdoor concert will be held by Benn & Company at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 26, on the Town Green with Motown, R&B, and pop hits. A Sinatra tribute by A Swingin' Affair, a 16-piece big band, is scheduled for Saturday, June 27.
Family Day on Sunday, June 28, will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Town Green. It will feature music-themed crafts, drum circles, and activities for children from infants to elementary school age.
Indoor concerts begin June 28 at the Ellison Center for the Arts and the Art Complex Museum, starting with the opening South Shore Conservatory faculty concert "Dreamscapes" at 6 p.m. on June 28. The performance will feature DMF Artistic Director and pianist Stephen Deitz, pianist Oxana Yablonskaya, and cellist Dmitry Yablonsky.
A Paris-themed classical concert, "From Paris to New York," will be held on Tuesday, June 30, at The Art Complex Museum.
Jazz programs include "The Dukes of Windsor" performing at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, at the Ellison Center, followed by the DMF jazz faculty cabaret at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 2.
The festival culminates with a finale concert at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 3, featuring performances by all South Shore Conservatory faculty and students.
