Watch the Providence Rink in Providence, Rhode Island, transform into an open-air chalk art gallery on Saturday, May 16, from noon to 5 p.m. The Providence Chalk Art Festival is a free event that invites visitors of all ages to watch and participate in creating chalk artworks.
Professional artists will lay down original works within 4-foot or 6-foot squares on the rink surface. Visitors will be invited to walk among the finished pieces and photograph the street-art display, as the chalk pieces are only temporary installations on the rink.
Artists can reserve a 6-by-6-foot square for $35 or a 4-by-4-foot square for $20.
The festival will also feature live music, food vendors, and other family-friendly activities. Enjoy a spring day in Providence while taking in some unique community chalk-art creations.
