A dynamic new multipurpose venue is coming soon to Providence, Rhode Island.

The Pavilion, a 3,500-square-foot venue on the west side of the 195 District Park at the confluence of Ship Street and Elbow Street, is slated to open in mid-to-late May, according to Guild co-founder and managing partner Jeremy Duffy. The venue will host The Guild beer garden, a Seven Stars coffee shop, and a garden space. It will operate year-round.

The 195 District Park is a seven-acre waterfront space that spans the east and west sides of the Providence River. It was created from the relocation of a portion of Interstate 195 and the creation of the I-195 Redevelopment District.

According to a Boston Globe report, construction on The Pavilion began in 2024. In 2023, renderings showed indoor and outdoor seating, glass walls, and river views toward the Fox Point neighborhood.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for Tuesday, April 21, with local dignitaries, including the governor and mayor, and Marc Crisafulli, chair of the I-195 District Commission, in attendance. Final preparations will be taking place in the weeks leading up to the opening.

From May onward, the venue will operate seven days a week, offering a seamless “coffee-to-pint” experience from morning coffee to evening beer.

The project embodies Providence's ongoing waterfront transformation, with The Guild and Seven Stars positioned as anchor destinations for the new pavilion and park.
