Rhode Island's T.F. Green International Airport has begun using biometric eGates that verify passenger identities in seconds via facial recognition.
The eGates are designed to streamline the passenger experience by reducing wait times for Clear+ members. These individuals can bypass the TSA podium and proceed directly to physical screening after passing through the eGate.
According to an NBC 10 NEWS WJAR report, T.F. Green becomes the 40th airport in the United States to deploy biometric eGates, expanding a network that includes major hubs such as Atlanta, Dallas, and JFK.
