The Red Sox Foundation is teaming up with Cradles to Crayons to tackle clothing insecurity for children.
From now through June 30, Cradles to Crayons will be collecting brand-new socks and underwear for kids in need. For every donation, contributors earn one raffle entry to win two Green Monster tickets to the Red Sox game on Aug. 5.
“We're very lucky that we receive many donations of clothing that are high quality, gently used, ready for a second life,” said Katy DeMoura from Cradles to Crayons in a statement shared with 7NEWS Boston. “For socks and underwear in particular, these items need to be brand-new, and so it's a little bit harder for us to keep our shelves stocked with everything we need to meet the demand that we know exists in the community that we're serving.”
Donors can contribute online via the Cradles to Crayons Amazon Wish List or in person at the nonprofit's Giving Factory in Newtonville.
