A Powerball ticket sold at Old South Diner in Nantucket, Massachusetts, recently won $2 million in the latest drawing. The ticket is the fifth lottery win of more than $1 million since March 2024, lottery officials announced.

The diner, located at 57 Old South Road, will receive a $20,000 bonus from the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission for selling a winning ticket, the Lottery Commission stated.

According to a Boston.com report, since March 2024, the diner has had multiple high-value prizes tied to tickets purchased there. These winnings included a $1 million prize in March 2024 from the "$4,000,000 Bonus Bucks" $10 ticket, a $2 million prize in June 2024 from a "Lifetime Millions" $50 ticket, and a $1 million prize from a "$10,000,000 Bonanza" $20 ticket in August 2024.

The first win for this year was on March 4, when Nantucket resident Yancy Contreras Menjivar claimed a $2 million prize at the Lottery's Dorchester location, lottery officials said. Menjivar chose the cash option on that prize and received a one-time payment of $1.3 million before taxes.

On March 26, a $2 million Powerball prize was won on a ticket purchased at the diner. Someone matched the first five numbers on the ticket and had a 2X Power Play. The winning numbers were 7-21-55-56-64 with a Powerball of 26. No one won the jackpot, which increased to an estimated $166 million for Saturday's drawing, according to a CBS Boston WBZ-TV report.

In a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, the Nantucket Current called the diner's good fortune “insane.”

The diner, which serves Chinese food and pizza, has netted close to $80,000 in bonuses from ticket sales.

The next Powerball drawing will be held on Saturday, March 28. This drawing will be worth $166 million with a $75.2 million cash option.
