Taunton Veterans Services Offers Free Rides to Medical Appointments

The Taunton Veterans Services Department is offering free transportation to medical appointments for veterans.

According to a Taunton Daily Gazette report, veterans can schedule rides by calling 508-821-1038. The department is also asking the public to share this information with eligible individuals to ensure veterans receive the medical care and support they need.

For questions or more information, individuals can visit the Veterans Services Department at Taunton City Hall, 15 Summer St. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday; and 8 a.m. to noon Friday.

The department's mission is to advocate for Taunton veterans and their dependents, providing support services and emergency financial assistance under MGL c. 115 and VA Benefits.
