One of Rhode Island's most well-recognized markets is about to take on an all-new vibe.

The first-ever Hey Rhody Market will debut May 13 at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston as a free, all-ages event running from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will feature shopping, food and drinks, live music, kids' activities, a Beau Bleu Boutique fashion show, and a Mini Flea pop-up.

For years, the Providence Flea has built a loyal following and become a weekly ritual for many Rhode Islanders.

“There's the discovery aspect because you never know exactly what you'll find,” said founder Maria Tocco in a statement shared with HeyRhody.com. “It's a different market every week with new and returning vendors… so to avoid F.O.M.O., you have to come back.”

The Mini Flea offers a smaller, curated subset of goods featuring handmade watches, vintage rugs, eco-printed textiles, locally designed jewelry, and small-batch goods, serving as an entry point for newcomers.

According to HeyRhody.com, the Hey Rhody Market collaboration with the Providence Flea and Mini Flea aims to connect local vendors with new audiences and bolster local creativity and entrepreneurship.

The Hey Rhody Market also includes a full evening program of live music and family-friendly activities at a historic venue celebrating its 110th anniversary this year.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and take time to linger and explore the market.
