Roger Williams Park Zoo opens A Bug's World on Saturday, April 11. Guests shrink down to bug size when they step into this new attraction filled with massive insects and towering plants.

"Get ready for a big adventure from a very small point of view," the zoo said in a press release, as shared by Patch. Kids can scale spider webs, dodge a hungry Venus flytrap, and squeeze through honeycombs. Towering plants surround them at every turn.

Caterpillars loom overhead. Beetles dwarf visitors, and ladybugs stand taller than most adults. The zoo built these creatures larger than life for a reason—teaching people why bugs matter and what we can do to protect them.

"This immersive, hands-on exhibit brings the busy world of backyard bugs to life while showing how these tiny creatures play a big role in our environment and how we can help protect them," the zoo said in the press release, according to Providence Journal.

The Providence attraction runs through Aug. 10. Tickets require a separate purchase on top of standard zoo entry, available online.

Admission costs $7 for those 2 and older, and children 1 and under get in free. Zoo members pay $5.

Special events accompany the attraction. Sensory Mornings happen from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. on April 26 and July 5.

These sessions welcome those with autism spectrum disorder and sensory processing differences, along with their families. They start an hour before the trail opens to everyone else.

Bug's Family Nights will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on June 6 and Aug. 8. Families can spend an evening at the zoo during these events.
