Fort Adams State Park is about to get a visitor from a big-time performer this summer.
Newport Buzz confirmed that Lauryn Hill has been announced as a performer of the 2026 Newport Folk Festival lineup on Friday, July 24, at Fort Adams State Park.
Hill is a five-time GRAMMY winner recognized for redefining soul, hip-hop, and R&B through her 1998 album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Her live shows are described as intense, reinventive, and spiritually charged, offering more than a standard concert experience.
The 2026 Newport Folk Festival is celebrated for its genre-blurring tradition, now featuring Hill as part of its evolving lineup. The festival will run from Friday, July 24, to Sunday, July 26. Tickets and additional details are available on the festival's website.
