AE Regional Distribution Co., a distributor for American Eagle Outfitters, has announced it will close its Devens, Massachusetts, distribution facility. This closure will result in the loss of 103 jobs, according to a Massachusetts Workers Adjustment Retraining (WARN) Notice filed with the state on Wednesday, Feb. 11.

According to a MassLive report, the layoffs at the 64 Jackson Road distribution center are scheduled to occur between April 12 and May 6.

American Eagle Outfitters acquired the company, formerly known as Quiet Logistics, for approximately $360 million in 2021 to speed deliveries to stores, according to Yahoo Finance. Earlier this year, American Eagle Outfitters announced it would scale back its accelerated delivery program and begin closing its distribution facilities.

“Quiet has valued its partnerships with its customers and, where we are able, we are assisting customers to identify and transition to new providers,” a company spokesperson told Yahoo Finance. “We appreciate the contributions of our associates, and we are committed to doing what we can to support them as well.”
