A new project is in the works to bring a luxury shopping and dining experience to Boston.
On Tuesday, Feb. 10, the real estate investment trust Simon announced plans to redevelop the current Neiman Marcus space at Copley Place. Construction will start later this year, with exterior remodeling included in the plan. Phased openings of the new concept will take place through 2028.
According to a news release, the redevelopment efforts will bring a first-class cadre of internationally recognized luxury retail brands and world-class dining concepts to Copley Place. They include Casa Tua Cucina, a Miami-born culinary marketplace that offers globally inspired cuisine in an elegant open-kitchen setting.
Estiatorio Milos, a highly acclaimed Greek seafood restaurant founded by Greek-born restaurateur Costas Spiliadis, will place a premium on fine ingredients and expert preparations. Milos will offer a refined, approachable Greek dining experience that showcases the freshest seafood and produce from fishermen and farmers across Greece and the Mediterranean.
Luxury retail additions are expected to include a first-to-market Dolce & Gabbana, expansions of FENDI and Tourneau, and a recently opened LOEWE.
"Copley Place has always been Boston's most exclusive luxury destination, located in the heart of the thriving Back Bay. By introducing these globally recognized brands and iconic dining concepts, we're taking an already exceptional experience to an entirely new level. No other location in the market delivers this caliber of luxury in one place," said Mark Silvestri, president of development at Simon, in the media release.
Additional luxury boutiques will be announced at a later date.
