The 2026 FIFA World Cup is four months away. The world's biggest sports tournament will be staged across 16 North American locations, with Boston hosting multiple matches at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. Early-round games and later rounds will be held in late June through July.

Which Teams Are Playing in Gillette Stadium?

At least seven different national teams will play in Gillette. 

  • June 13: Haiti vs. Scotland
  • June 16: (The winner of a playoff between Bolivia, Iraq, and Suriname) vs. Norway
  • June 19: Scotland vs. Morocco
  • June 23: England vs. Ghana
  • June 26: Norway vs. France
  • June 29: Round of 32 game
  • July 9: Quarterfinals game

How Do You Get to Gillette Stadium?

Despite FIFA World Cup organizers advertising the action at "Boston Stadium," the games will be held at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. Fans have two main options to make their way there: Catch an MBTA Commuter Rail train to Foxboro Station or contend with Boston traffic to reach it.

Will the FIFA World Cup Be Broadcast or Streamed?

FOX holds the American broadcasting rights to the FIFA World Cup. Approximately 70 matches will air on FOX, and 34 will air on FS1. Streaming will be provided on FOX-affiliated platforms.

Will the City Host Fan Zones or Watch Parties?

According to a WBUR report, parties will likely take place in many places around the city. Additionally, dozens of pubs, bars, restaurants, and cafes that regularly show soccer matches will likely have their entertainment screens tuned into the FIFA World Cup.
