MilkShake Factory Expands to Walpole

The MilkShake Factory, a century-old Pennsylvania dessert brand, is opening its first Greater Boston location in Walpole. The business will be located at 108 Providence Highway, Suite P08, according to the company's Google business listing and Facebook page.

According to a What Now Boston report, a representative for MilkShake Factory said that the Walpole shop will span approximately 1,550 square feet. A tentative grand opening is planned for mid-March.

Taragh Mulvany, a resident and first-time franchisee, is bringing the Walpole location to life. MilkShake Factory plans to open a total of six locations in Greater Boston, with Walpole as the first announced site. No additional leases in the area have been finalized as of Friday, Feb. 6.

Originating in Pittsburgh in 1914 as a soda fountain and chocolate shop, MilkShake Factory remains family-owned and operates more than 40 locations in 17 states through a franchise program.

Highlights of the brand's menu include Chocolate Dipped Strawberry and Campfire S'mores as signature flavors, along with rotating specials that reflect the company's chocolatier heritage.
