Sprouts Farmers Market, 7 Brew Coffee to Open in Weymouth

Sprouts Farmers Market and a drive-thru coffee shop called 7 Brew Coffee plan to open in Weymouth. The businesses will replace a vacant Honda dealership at the corner of Front, Main, and Winter streets on an approximately 90,000-square-foot lot.

The Weymouth site is near other amenities, including two Dunkin' locations, Shaw's, BJ's, and the Stop & Shop.

According to a Boston.com report, the project earned key approvals from Weymouth's Board of Zoning Appeals and Conservation Commission in January, according to the town's principal planner, Eric Schneider.

Schneider added that MassDOT will need to review traffic improvements for Route 18 (Main Street), as it is a state road. Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring.

At the Zoning Appeals hearing, members expressed concerns about the viability of the coffee drive-thru at the location, but they supported keeping the two new businesses viable.

“The community needs another grocery store in that particular area,” Vice-Chair Jonathan Moriarty said in a statement shared with Boston.com. “The community wants another grocery store in that particular area.”

When it opens, Weymouth will be Sprouts' first New England location and 7 Brew Coffee's second location. The coffee company already has a coffee kiosk in Springfield.

Sprouts Farmers Market is a health-focused retailer offering organic, gluten-free, plant-based, and non-GMO products. The company employs approximately 35,000 people across more than 450 stores in 25 states. 

Additionally, 7 Brew Coffee is expanding, now with more than 600 locations in 38 states.

Representatives from Sprouts and 7 Brew Coffee did not respond to a request for further comment.
