Widowmaker Brewing is re-releasing its 2019 beer "I See Ghosts" in advance of Super Bowl LX, bringing back a fan favorite for a limited time.
The brewery, which has locations in Braintree and Brighton, is offering four-packs of "I See Ghosts" for takeout at both locations, with no pre-orders or holds, available now. "I See Ghosts," an India Pale Ale at 7% ABV, acknowledges Sam Darnold's infamous 2019 "seeing ghosts" remark during a Patriots vs. Jets game.
According to an NBC10 Boston report, Darnold was caught on camera during ESPN's "Monday Night Football" broadcast during a 33-0 loss to the Pats in 2019. He said New England's defense had him "seeing ghosts."
"Originally released in 2019, this beer disappeared as fast as it appeared. Tuesday 02.03.26 it returns in 4 packs to-go just in time to run it back one more time," Widowmaker Brewing shared in a social media post. "No pre-orders, no holds, this is your chance to make a pick and support the team in a super way! Available in Braintree & Brighton at opening."
The Braintree taproom is open Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 10 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 8 p.m. The Brighton location is open Tuesday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
