Fans will have one more chance to send off the AFC champions before they head west for Super Bowl LX. The New England Patriots are hosting a free Super Bowl send-off rally this Sunday morning at Gillette Stadium, giving fans an opportunity to cheer on the team before they take off for Santa Clara to face the Seattle Seahawks.
According to the team’s official announcement, parking lots at Gillette will open at 8 a.m., with gates opening at 9 a.m. The celebration kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with a performance by the Dropkick Murphys, setting the tone for what promises to be a high-energy morning. The rally itself begins at 10:30 a.m., featuring appearances from head coach Mike Vrabel, team captains including quarterback Drake Maye, members of the Patriots cheerleading squad, and Patriots alumni.
Fans planning to attend will need a free ticket, which can be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration link will go live Thursday morning on the team’s website and across its social media channels. Team officials said the event will run for about 45 minutes, wrapping up as players and staff board their buses around 11:30 a.m. to head to T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, Rhode Island. From there, the team will fly to California, where they’ll continue preparations ahead of the February 8 game at Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers.
Fans who can’t make the trip to Foxborough can follow the excitement from home — the rally will be streamed live on CBS News Boston.
For diehard fans, Sunday’s event serves as more than just a rally. It’s a celebration of a remarkable playoff run that saw the Patriots punch their ticket to another Super Bowl under first-year head coach Vrabel. The AFC Championship win over the Denver Broncos last weekend sparked widespread excitement across New England, bringing back shades of the team’s early 2000s dominance.
The team has a history of large-scale send-offs; their last event of this kind drew thousands of fans braving freezing temperatures in 2017, ahead of Super Bowl LI. Sunday’s weather looks to be far more forgiving — good news for fans who plan to show up early in their Brady or Maye jerseys and take part in a few hearty “Let’s Go Pats!” chants.
With the Dropkick Murphys, team leaders, and the Kraft family all on hand, the rally is shaping up to be one of the most lively mornings Foxborough has seen in years. Whether you’re heading to the stadium or tuning in from home, the message is clear — it’s time for New England to rally behind its team once again.
