Headed to the airport anytime soon? Some new things have made their appearance. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced Tuesday that it rolled out TSA PreCheck Touchless ID at Boston Logan International Airport in Terminals A, B, and E. The new addition will allow eligible travelers to experience a faster and better identity verification process when traveling.

The new TSA PreCheck Touchless ID uses facial comparison technology to verify a traveler's identity within seconds. A passenger can look into the camera where their live photois matched against their passport.

“Bringing TSA PreCheck Touchless ID to Boston Logan marks another step forward in modernizing airport security and improving the passenger journey,” said Bob Allison, TSA’s Federal Security Director for Massachusetts, in a statement. “We are excited to offer this cutting-edge option to our travelers, reducing wait times and leading to a more streamlined security screening process.”

This new feature is available for current TSA PreCheck members flying through terminals A, B, and E. To use the new system, eligible travelers must opt in through the app and ensure their Known Traveler Number and valid passport are on file.
