New Community Bakery Opens in Middleboro Greenhouse

A new bakery is offering the Middleboro community a taste of the sweet life.

North Street Sweets opened in December 2025 as a cottage kitchen bakery, and it's quickly gained attention from residents and visitors. 

Aleida Nunez opened the new bakery in a navy blue greenhouse on her residential property at 116 North St. in Middleboro. The bakery operates Wednesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering freshly baked, homemade goods in a welcoming, fairy-tale-like setting.

The shop operates on an honor system. Payments are made via a QR code, and security cameras help monitor the space for accountability. 

Some of the baked treats one can find here include butter cream cinnamon buns, cookie dough bars, chocolate cake slices, and bite-sized macarons.
