The new year is off to a bang in Boston's restaurant community. Several new dining establishments have opened or will open soon in the city.
Augusto and Baby Sister
Augusto, a Portuguese-inspired fine-dining destination by George Mendes, and Baby Sister, a bakery café, are planned for summer 2026, with openings at 1673 and 1679 Washington St. in the South End.
Common Craft
Common Craft in South Boston will expand from Burlington. Its new home will add a main dining room, a Stillroom bar for cocktails, and a Current space for makers. Common Craft aims to open in late February at 235 Old Colony Ave.
Ebi Sushi
Ebi Sushi moves to a larger ground-floor space in Union Square, Somerville, adding a new Dashizen ramen-focused concept in the same building. Openings are planned for spring 2026 at 10 Prospect St.
Kush by Saba
Kush by Saba in Somerville will operate as a Mediterranean counter-service by day and a full-service restaurant by night. A buildout is underway, with a first half of 2026 opening at 5 Sanborn Court.
Mesob
Mesob in SoWa began serving Ethiopian and Eritrean fare in December 2025, featuring injera-based combos and classic dishes at 1746 Washington St. in the South End.
Si Cara
Si Cara has opened at 400 W. Broadway in South Boston as a second Greater Boston pizzeria from Michael Lombardi, offering canotta-style crust and classics like Margherita and a shrimp scampi pizza.
Sorella
Sorella in Burlington is rebranding from Tuscan Kitchen, focusing on scratch-made pastas, more greenery, a larger central bar, and private dining spaces. It will open during the winter of 2026 at 2400 District Ave.
Swingers
Swingers in Back Bay, a U.K.-based mini golf and Detroit-style pizza concept, opens Feb. 27 at 777 Boylston St., with tickets required for play and multiple dining options from Emmy Squared.
Wildgrain Bakehouse
What began as a Somerville-based bread subscription box service is now becoming a public storefront. Customers can purchase Wildgrain's croissants, bagels, and pastries without committing to the subscription service. An early 2026 opening is targeted for Wildgrain Bakehouse at 29R Properzi Way.
