Matt Damon and Ben Affleck teamed up for an unusual pronunciation collaboration on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, Jan. 13.

They joined host Jimmy Fallon for a segment in which they pronounced every city and town in Massachusetts as quickly as possible. Take a peek at a clip from their performance:

The Cambridge actors, who are promoting their new Netflix movie The Rip, used their best Boston accents as they ran through the list of all 351 Massachusetts town names. Fallon, who donned a Boston Red Sox hoodie, also participated, even though he is a self-proclaimed New Yorker.

True to form, the trio traded almost every "r" for an "ah." Fallon struggled to get the pronunciation of Winchendon. He repeated the name three times before he correctly pronounced it.

Affleck brought the contest to a close by dragging out the name "Yahmuth," as he said the name of the Cape Cod town.

Boston.com noted that it took the trio five minutes to work through all 351 names.

According to an NBC10 Boston report, The Tonight Show shared in an Instagram post that the production team had to run the segment at 1.5x speed to comply with Instagram Reels' requirement that videos be less than 3 minutes.
