The New England Patriots' playoff run is boosting Massachusetts' small businesses, delivering a Christmas-in-January lift for local shops.

Mahlon Williams of I Love Boston Sports spoke with CBS Boston about how strong team performance drives extra consumer demand at its locations in Boston's Faneuil Hall and South Shore Mall. The playoffs have created a supply rush for items such as popular branded hoodies bearing the team's slogan, "We all we got. We all we need." Williams' stores are racing to restock the gear. Hundreds of units of merchandise get sold in a short period ahead of upcoming games, he said.

Montilio's Bakery in Brockton is also reporting higher sales volume linked to Patriots games. Themed baked goods, such as Drake Maye cookies and Pat the Patriot cakes, have been especially popular among fans.

"It's amazing. For us, sales were way up last weekend and the weekend before because of these games. It brings January to a whole other level. Normally, it's a slow month. Now, it's turned into a very good month," bakery owner George Montilio explained to CBS Boston.

As long as the Patriots continue their winning ways, these businesses are likely to stay busy amid the boom of Patriots playoff fever.
