The Bay State Motor Festival is bringing classic and vintage cars to Framingham.

Following its 2025 debut, the festival will be held at Cushing Memorial Park on Sunday, June 21, marking the first day of summer.

Bay State Motor Festival, LLC, which organizes the event in partnership with the City of Framingham and the Framingham History Center, expects to showcase more than 200 vehicles and exhibits on regional manufacturing history.

The festival spotlights Massachusetts' automotive history, including Framingham's role with 4.6 million of the state's 7 million cars produced at the former GM plant (1947–1989) in the community and Bay State Manufacturing Company's 2,500 cars built between 1922 and 1925. The last known surviving Bay State sedan is expected to be a highlight of this year's event.

"Framingham's place in automotive history is a legacy of ingenuity and resilience, from the Bay State automobile to the General Motors plant that helped power the region's economy for decades," said Anna Tucker, executive director of the Framingham History Center, in a statement shared with MetroWest Daily News.

A "Made in New England" display will also feature Springfield-built Rolls-Royces, a Waltham-built Metz, a Lewiston, Maine-built Skene, and other regional vehicles.

Admission to the festival, featuring local food trucks and merchandise vendors, is free. Vehicle registrations are currently open. Sponsorships have been secured, with plans for regional and national promotion.
