The New England Patriots' playoff resurgence is fueling a substantial economic uptick around Gillette Stadium. Fans have been flocking to Patriot Place before the first‑round game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, Jan. 11.

The Patriots ProShop reported to CBS News that there is strong demand for Drake Maye jerseys and MVP T‑shirts, spurred by fans energized by the Patriots-Dolphins game on Sunday, Jan. 4.

Citizen Crust's manager, Ashlee Morin, said that playoff traffic routinely triples normal nightly pizza sales and likens the atmosphere to a decade ago.

"When we are packed, we have a line all the way down our patio. It's insane," she told CBS News.

A Patriots playoff run also means a business boom for CardVault by Tom Brady. "Everyone can't get enough of Drake Maye rookie cards and all the other Patriots players like TreVeyon Henderson and Rhamondre Stevenson," store manager Tyler Soriano told CBS News.

Many businesses noted they are taking an all-in approach to staffing to keep up with increased shopper traffic and sales.
