Lone Star Taco Bar is joining Cambridge's Eastern Edge Food Hall at 290 Main St. in Kendall Square, expanding the hall's culinary lineup.

This addition joins the new establishment's confirmed tenants — Clover, Juicy Jay's, Everybody Gotta Eat, Viet Citron, and Perillas Korean Kitchen. Occupying the “eastern edge” of the MIT campus, Eastern Edge is scheduled to open sometime in early 2026.

According to a What Now Boston report, Lone Star Taco Bar is a collaboration between Aaron Sanders and Max Toste. The culinary lineup was inspired by flavors from Texas and Southern California and influenced by markets and taquerías in Austin, Dallas, Los Angeles, Oaxaca, and Mexico City. Its concept centers on modern Tex-Mex street food, offering tacos, tortas, tostadas, small plates, and a beverage program with mezcals and a wide selection of tequilas.

Lone Star Taco Bar originated in Allston in 2012 and expanded to Cambridge in 2015. The owners also operate Deep Ellum gastropub in Waltham and Lenora in Portland, Maine.
