Apple Opens Store in Millbury After Closing Solomon Pond Mall Location

Apple has opened a new store in Millbury, Massachusetts, at The Shops at Blackstone Valley, next to the fashion retailer Coach. 

The store, which debuted on Friday, Dec. 12, replaces the former Solomon Pond Mall location in Marlborough that closed on Wednesday, Dec. 10, after more than a decade of operation.

According to a report on the MacRumors website, Apple's newer stores, like the one that opened in Millbury, typically feature a dedicated counter for customers to pick up online orders. Additionally, a prominent Genius Bar and free Today at Apple sessions are also expected to be part of the Millbury store in the future.

Apple at The Shops at Blackstone Valley is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

As the Worcester Business Journal noted, the Millbury location is one of only two Apple storefronts in central Massachusetts. The other Apple store is at the Natick Mall. Apple operates 11 locations across the Bay State.
