The annual Holiday Pops concerts have returned for a new holiday season. Following their performance in Worcester on Friday, Dec. 5, the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra will perform holiday classics and the Pops' sing-along of carols and new arrangements of seasonal favorites, including “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens, on Sunday, Dec. 14, at Lowell Memorial Auditorium.

The orchestra will be joined by the Metropolitan Chorale, known as one of the metro Boston region's first-rate choral ensembles. Santa Claus himself will also make a guest appearance during the concert's finale.

Tickets for Sunday's performance range from $55 to $178. Go online for more show information and tickets.

“There's a definite family feel at those concerts, and that's why we keep coming back,” said Boston Pops Conductor Keith Lockhart in a statement shared with The (Lowell) Sun
