My Girl, a new upscale cocktail lounge, has opened at 10 Post Office Square in Boston. The grown‑up, lounge‑driven vibe is inspired by 1950s Havana. Ray Tremblay, director of bars for COJE Management Group, which operates the lounge, called the atmosphere “grown and sexy.”
The space, redesigned from the former Mariel Underground, features Art Deco lighting, contemporary Cuban art, and a warm cocoon aesthetic crafted by London designer Natalia Miyar. Its menu blends Latin and Japanese influences, with a focus on shareable plates, including crispy chicken with Japanese chili oil hot honey, scallops with mochi gnocchi and Bijol, and a miso‑inflected Caesar salad.
My Girl's beverage program centers on balancer cocktails and house‑made ingredients, highlighting offerings like the Caribbean Bramble and Yucatán Club, with a focus on martinis, vermouth, and in‑house brines.
Of course, what would a cocktail lounge be without entertainment? Features include genre‑hopping DJs and a Thursday piano residency, designed to foster a vibrant weeknight scene alongside weekend appeal.
According to a Boston magazine report, My Girl isn't the first time that COJE has ran a club of this type. Its previous business, Mariel Underground, operated from the same Post Office Square space for five and a half years. Following the 2023 debut of its sister nightclub Caveau, located a few minutes away, “we realized we were competing for the same demographic in an environment where nightlife and bottle service and dance floors were becoming less involved than in the past,” said COJE CEO Chris Jamison. “There was an opportunity for us to pivot here.”
My Girl is just the beginning for COJE in the Post Office Square building. According to Boston magazine, COJE plans to expand within the same building to include a private members' restaurant serving Japanese cuisine and a forthcoming public Italian restaurant on the ground floor.
