Only one dining establishment in Massachusetts made its way onto OpenTable's 2025 list of top 100 restaurants. Unlike similar rankings that rely on reviews from culinary critics, OpenTable determines its list of restaurant honorees based on diner requests and feedback.
Krasi, at 48 Gloucester St. in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood, is described as an authentic Greek restaurant that communicates Philoxenia, literally translated “love of strangers.”
“We're more than a Greek restaurant — we're the place where impeccable wines and a bit of playful charm come together effortlessly,” a statement on Krasi's website reads. “Our space is sleek, chic, and just a bit rebellious, with Greek-inspired décor that's all about making a statement.”
According to a MassLive report, Krasi's menu draws from Greece's 13 regions. The menu features dishes such as Giouvetsi, a braised lamb dish inspired by Thessalian cooking, and a selection of seafood, including Amberjack, octopus, and squid, all paired with Greek wines.
Wine connoisseurs can also participate in a weekly wine symposium every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., in addition to regular dining service. Guests are encouraged to reserve their seats through OpenTable.
Although Krasi was the only Massachusetts restaurant featured on OpenTable's list, two other New England restaurants — Fore Street and Scales, both based in Portland, Maine — also made OpenTable's Top 100 list in 2025.
