JetBlue is expanding its European footprint with new nonstop seasonal flights from Boston Logan International Airport to Barcelona, Spain, and Milan, Italy.

Flights for Boston travelers to Spain's Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport begin April 16, 2026, while flights to Milan's Malpensa Airport start May 11, 2026, according to Boston 25 News.

Tickets for the Milan and Barcelona flights went on sale on Thursday, Nov. 20, on JetBlue's website.

“As we expand our New England footprint with new service from Boston to Barcelona and Milan, we're bringing more travelers the elevated service that has redefined transatlantic air travel, including our award-winning Mint premium experience,” said Joanna Geraghty, chief executive officer of JetBlue, in a statement shared with Boston.com. “Customers flying to Europe with JetBlue enjoy the kind of thoughtful design, privacy, and hospitality they simply won't find with legacy carriers, and we're proud to continue delivering incredible value and style on both sides of the Atlantic.”

With the addition of the Barcelona and Milan routes, JetBlue will fly to 77 nonstop destinations and serve nine European airports from Boston. Other transatlantic services from Boston include year-round service to London Heathrow, Paris, and Amsterdam, and seasonal service to Dublin, Edinburgh, London Gatwick, and Madrid, according to a Boston.com report

The addition of new European routes repositions JetBlue in the market as a leisure airline. According to The Boston Globethe airline eliminated several dozen unprofitable routes across the country, primarily in the West, and refocused on serving leisure travelers on the East Coast.
