The America's Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration parade returns to Plymouth for the 2025 holiday season on Saturday, Nov. 22. This parade will feature a historically accurate, chronicle-style showcase of American history, spanning the 17th to the 21st century.

Parade highlights include handmade floats, re-enactors, bands, and performers. The route begins at Plymouth Rock and finishes at the intersection of Court Street and Nelson Street.

If you can't catch the parade in person, WCVB Channel 5 will broadcast it live on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m., with streaming available on WCVB.com and the WCVB App. An encore presentation will be broadcast on Channel 5 on Thanksgiving, Nov. 27, at 9 a.m.

NewsCenter 5 noted that organizers expect crowds of more than 100,000 people to gather along the route through downtown Plymouth. Free parking with shuttle service will run from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. from designated lots and handicap-accessible shuttles.

The following road closures will be in effect:

  • 7 a.m. until parade's conclusion: Water Street from Union Street to the Rotary at Town Wharf. Side Streets for staging: Brewster Street, Howland Street, Chilton Street, and Memorial Drive.
  • 8:30 a.m. until parade's conclusion: Main Street Extension to Main and Court Street, ending at the corner of Nelson Street and Court Street (Pioppi's Plaza); Nelson Street to Holmes Field for exit staging.

According to NewsCenter 5, parade organizers have added the following new floats this year:
