The Polar Express train ride on the Cape Cod Central Railroad returns for the holiday season. Rides begin on Friday, Nov. 21, and continue through Sunday, Dec. 21, on weekends. The approximately 90-minute journey is set to the motion picture's soundtrack and features a reading of "The Polar Express" by Chris Van Allsburg.
According to a Patch of Falmouth report, onboard entertainment includes dancing chefs and servers, Christmas carols, and hot chocolate with Walker's Shortbread cookies as the official treat. A conductor will punch golden tickets for each child on the ride.
Santa and his elves will greet passengers at the "North Pole" stop, with every child receiving a keepsake sleigh bell and a souvenir golden ticket.
Passengers are advised to arrive about 45 minutes before departure for parking and ticket pickup, with boarding starting 30 minutes before departure.
