New England Patriots fans turned out in force outside the Patriots Pro Shop in Foxborough on Thursday, Nov. 13, to snag limited edition Robert Kraft Nike Air Force One sneakers. Several fans, though, got a surprise.

Kraft, owner of the Patriots, appeared at the store, greeting fans and handing out tickets for last Thursday's game against the New York Jets. The Patriots won the matchup 27-14.

“It feels good now,” said fan Carlos Rodriguez, who told 7 NEWS Boston he waited in line for 19 hours. “Worth the wait—it was worth the wait!”

According to 7 NEWS Boston, the custom Air Force One sneaker release continues a tradition between Kraft and Nike that goes back more than a decade. This year's shoes feature Nike's Flyknit material with the Nike swoosh, the New England Patriots logo, Kraft's initials, and six red stars above the toe box, representing the team's six Super Bowl wins. The sneakers retail for $160.

Kraft's surprise appearance electrified the crowd, with fans feeding off the playoff-like energy in the air.

"Seeing the fans from so many places puts a responsibility on us to make sure we're always doing the right thing running this," Kraft said to 7 NEWS Boston.
