Market Basket has launched its own lager, MB Lager, in a collaboration with Zero Gravity Beer of Burlington, Vermont. It marks the retailer's entry into an in-house beverage line.

A video posted by the company on Wednesday, Nov. 5, shows the new lager branded with Market Basket's logo and the store's “More for Your Dollar” slogan. The lager comes in a white can decorated with Market Basket blue banners, the company name printed across the top, and the word “Lager” written in cursive.

The lager is 4% alcohol by volume, and it comes in 12-ounce cans, according to a MassLive report.

Market Basket's announcement sparked several comments online. One Instagram user wrote, “I'm in love!!” Another stated, “This could single-handedly bring our nation together ????.”

The 12-pack of the lager is priced at $12.99. It is available at MB Spirits and MB Beer & Wine outlets in Massachusetts — including Danvers, Hanover, Shrewsbury, Tewksbury, and Waltham — as well as Market Basket locations in Maine and New Hampshire, according to a Facebook post.

Boston.com noted that the launch of MB Lager comes after leadership changes at the company, following the ousting of Market Basket's CEO in September.
