Following its world premiere at the MIPCOM market in Cannes during the week of Oct. 20, Boston Blue has been picked up by more than 100 markets. The show, which launched on CBS on Oct. 17, is also available to stream on Paramount+.
In Boston Blue, Wahlberg reprises his role as detective Danny Reagan from the original Blue Bloods. In this spinoff, Reagan relocates from New York City to Boston. There, he joins his partner, Lena Silver, portrayed by Sonequa Martin-Green.
According to a Deadline report, the international distributor roster for Boston Blue includes AXN Asia and Coupang Play in Korea. M-Net has obtained it for Africa, and Sky has obtained it for New Zealand. In Europe, Boston Blue has landed at pay-TV giant Sky in German-speaking territories. It's also going to Play Media in Belgium, Cosmote TV in Greece, Síminn in Iceland, beIN in Cyprus and Turkey, and CTV in Australia on Paramount+.
In addition to Wahlberg and Martin-Green, the Boston Blue cast includes Maggie Lawson, Marcus Scribner, Mika Amons, Gloria Reuben, and Ernie Hudson. CBS Studios produces the series in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television. Brandon Sonnier and Brandon Margolis are showrunners and executive producers.
Bruckheimer, Anthony Hemingway, KristieAnne Reed, and Wahlberg are also executive producers for the series.
