A $50,000 Powerball ticket purchased nearly a year ago at New Capital Farms Convenience Store, at 554 Boston Post Road East (Route 20) in Marlborough, Massachusetts, remains unclaimed. This ticket is set to expire on Nov. 20 if no one steps forward to claim it.

The winning numbers for the Nov. 20, 2024, drawing were 16, 30, 60, 62, and 64, with a Powerball number of 25. An individual who holds the winning ticket would have matched four of the first five numbers and the Powerball number to win $50,000.

The 2024 Powerball prize was won during a drawing that had a jackpot of more than $155 million. This amount increased to $256 million before it was won on Dec. 7, 2024. That winning ticket was sold in New York.

According to a MetroWest Daily News report, in Massachusetts, lottery winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes. Unclaimed prizes after this period become part of the net profit that the Massachusetts Lottery returns to the Commonwealth for distribution among the state's 351 cities and towns.

According to the Massachusetts Lottery, individuals can claim prize winnings of up to $103,000 at any of the lottery's claim centers. These centers are located in Braintree, Dorchester, Lawrence, New Bedford, West Springfield, and Worcester.

Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Each play costs $2. Players select five numbers from a pool of 69, including a Powerball number between one and 26. A Quic Pic option is also available. Matching only the first five numbers drawn — and not the Powerball — earns a $1 million prize.
