WaterFire Providence will feature veterans and active-duty service members at a Salute to Veterans event on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Individuals will serve as torchbearers for a lighting ceremony held at WaterPlace Park in Providence, Rhode Island. The ceremony will honor veterans and active-duty military personnel from all Rhode Island service branches.

During the ceremony, more than 150 veterans holding lighted torches will process into the WaterPlace Park Basin to create a "Ring of Fire" during the lighting of the WaterFire Braziers.

Members of the public are invited to participate in onshore programming and take part in vendor offerings beginning at 4:30 p.m. The full lighting will take place from 5:40 p.m. to 10 p.m.

VIP tickets for WaterFire are available for guests. The VIP ticket includes complimentary food and beverages. VIP guests will also have the opportunity to sign up for a boat ride during the lighting. It is one of the only ways to experience WaterFire from the water. Space is limited, and rides are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
