Somerville's Department of Health and Human Services will hold free flu shot vaccination clinics next week and next month.
Here's the schedule for the clinics:
- Monday, Oct. 27, 5 p.m.-7 p.m.: West Branch Library, 40 College Ave.
- Tuesday, Nov. 4, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: Tufts Administration Building, 167 Holland St.
- Thursday, Nov. 6, 10:30 a.m.-noon: Office of Immigrant Affairs, 42 Cross St.
- Thursday, Nov. 13, 1 p.m.-6:30 p.m.: City Hall Annex, 50 Evergreen Ave.
- Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2:30 p.m.-4 p.m.: Council on Aging, 167 Holland St. (limited to residents 18 and older only)
- Thursday, Nov. 20, 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.: West Branch Library, 40 College Ave.
According to a Patch of Somerville report, these clinics will offer free influenza vaccines, including high-dose options for residents ages 65 and older, as well as COVID-19 vaccines. The clinics are open to residents 6 months of age and older, regardless of insurance or immigration status.
Residents are encouraged to pre-register online via the city's vaccination webpage to streamline the process. Limited walk-ins are accepted while supplies last.
According to a Somerville Times report, the vaccines are provided by the Somerville Public Health Nursing Department with support from the Medical Reserve Corps and community health partners.
Somerville residents can also receive flu and COVID-19 vaccines from their health care providers or at participating pharmacies. To find other vaccine locations, visit Vaccines.gov or call 2-1-1.
