A Massachusetts resident claimed a $4 million lottery prize from a winning ticket the individual purchased for $10.

The $4 million grand prize was from “100X,” a $10 scratch ticket game released in June. Three top prizes worth $4 million were in play when the game was released, and as of Monday, Oct. 20, only one remains to be claimed.

According to a MassLive report, the winning ticket was purchased at Pete's Gulf at 185 Woburn St. in Lowell, which will receive a $40,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The winner claimed the prize as a one-time payment of $2.6 million before taxes on Oct. 14. The prize was claimed through a trust called Candy 2025 Trust of Lowell, represented by trustee Nikki Caplis, according to the Massachusetts Lottery.

Two other $100,000 prizes were claimed on Tuesday, Oct. 14. One was from a winning “Diamond Deluxe” scratch ticket sold at Quick Food Store in Revere. The other was a “$100,000 Max Winnings” ticket sold at a 7-Eleven in Abington.

MassLive noted that at least 799 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Oct. 14, including 27 in Springfield, 19 in Worcester, and 44 in Boston.
