Four Massachusetts Towns to Team Up for Veterans Day Event on Nov. 9

Veterans representing four Massachusetts towns will be honored at an event planned for Sunday, Nov. 9, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Whitman VFW Hall, 95 Essex St. in Whitman.

According to an event announcement posted on the Town of Abington website, the communities of Whitman, Rockland, Hanson, and Abington will join together for the Veterans Day commemoration.

The event will begin at noon with a joint color guard and flag presentation. Family-friendly activities, including food, music, and entertainment such as bouncy houses, outdoor games, and live music, will be offered.

Family and friends are invited to a meet-and-greet with veterans at the Whitman VFW. Veterans agents from each of the communities participating in the commemoration event will be on hand to meet with veterans and their families about veteran benefits.
