WWE officials announced that its 21st annual Tribute to the Troops will air on FOX on Friday, Dec. 8, at 8 p.m. The event will take place in Providence, Rhode Island, at the Amica Mutual Pavilion.
Since 2003, WWE has held the Tribute to the Troops to celebrate and recognize the sacrifices of military personnel, veterans, and their families. According to a WWE news release, the event is "widely considered one of television's most patriotic and heartwarming shows of the year."
WWE has a long-standing commitment to supporting the U.S. Armed Forces, visiting nearly 400 military installations worldwide and partnering with organizations like Hire Heroes USA to honor service members.
In addition to this event, WWE supports the USO and promotes stories of heroism through its partnership with the National Medal of Honor Museum.
Tickets for the event will be available through Ticketmaster.com, according to the WWE's news release.
