Middleborough's annual Crantoberfest 2025 is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11, from noon to 4 p.m. on the Town Hall lawn. This celebration commemorates the town's rich cranberry heritage and community spirit.

The autumn event features a variety of activities, including a cranberry-themed bake-off, vendor booths, food options, and a lively beer garden with German music and local brews.

Children can participate in fun activities, such as cranberry races, cornhole, and a costume parade led by alpacas. Separate prizes will be awarded for children ages 8 and younger, as well as for kids ages 9 and older.

A highlight of the festivities is the Miss Crantoberfest contest held at 2 p.m. During this competition, participants will showcase their knowledge of the cranberry industry. According to a Nemasket Week report, the winner will receive a cranberry-colored crown and sash and will also represent Middleborough at various community events.

Additional attractions include a cranberry bake-off, featuring categories for both professional and home bakers, with prizes such as gift cards and bragging rights. A new educational exhibit titled "The Traveling Bog" will offer attendees information on how cranberries are farmed.
