Longtime New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has reportedly found a buyer for his Nantucket beach home.
The six-time Super Bowl-winning coach listed his summer cottage on the market in August, following the end of his two-decade coaching career with the Patriots. Belichick is leaving New England to coach the North Carolina Tar Heels at the University of North Carolina.
According to a Mansion Global report, Belichick bought the two-bedroom cottage in 2014 for $2.5 million. Located in Sconset, the home occupies only 1,500 square feet on a 5,000-square-foot beachfront lot. The house is sited directly on a sandy beach in Codfish Park, adjacent to conservation lands.
According to the property listing with Paige Yates of Coldwell Banker, the home was built in 1976. A significant renovation was completed in 2009, with continuous updates that have included new heat pumps and a hot water tank in the last five years, according to Mansion Global. The asking price was set at $3.895 million.
There appears to have been a buyer in place when the house was listed initially, but the deal appears to have fallen through. The property was relisted in early September, according to Zillow, but a sale was pending as of Friday, Oct. 3.
Belichick has a long-standing connection to Nantucket that dates back to 1979. In addition to the Nantucket property, Belichick purchased a $4.8 million home in 2024. This home on Fair Road is on the bay side of the island and is not adjacent to the waterfront.
