This weekend, several communities across Southeastern Massachusetts are holding autumn festivals and community events. Mark your calendars for the following fun fall happenings.

History on Tap | Thursday, Oct. 2

The JFK Hyannis Museum is hosting a History on Tap event. Join Executive Director Wendy Northcross for insights into the Kennedy family's Cape Cod connections while enjoying craft brews, nonalcoholic options, and light snacks. Tickets are $10 ($5 for members). Must be 21 and older to sample beer.

Trivia Night Fundraiser | Thursday, Oct. 2

The Friends of Ventress Memorial Library are holding their fourth annual Trivia Night fundraiser at Marshfield Country Club. This event will feature trivia challenges, food, drinks, and cash prizes. Tickets are $30 per person and include a complimentary buffet (cash bar available).

Time: Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; games start at 7 p.m.

Free Movie Night: Hocus Pocus

Attleboro's free Movie Night on Oct. 3 at Capron Park screens Disney's Hocus Pocus, along with family activities, costumes, and Halloween treats. Attendees will have the chance to snap photographs and enjoy meet-and-greet sessions with the Sanderson Sisters before the movie begins.

Dog Day Celebration | Saturday, Oct. 4

Duxbury Beach is celebrating its second annual Dog Day on Oct. 4, featuring free activities and goodies for dogs and their owners.

Arts & Crafts on the Green | Saturday, Oct. 4

Plymouth's Arts & Crafts on the Green on Oct. 4 showcases local artisans and live demonstrations at the Town Hall Green. Admission to the event is free.

Location: Plymouth Town Hall Green, 26 Court St., Plymouth

Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Wags & Wheel Festival | Saturday, Oct. 4

The Wags & Wheels Festival in Plymouth combines car displays and pet adoptions. Attendees will also enjoy contests, food trucks, and a beer garden. Admission is free.

Location: The Grove at Plymouth Parking Lot, 90 Shops at Five Way, Plymouth

Time: Noon to 4 p.m.

Abington's Free Family Movie Night and Spooky Pirate Adventure | Saturday, Oct. 4

Abington's outdoor movie night on Oct. 4 features Casper, followed by a "Slightly Spooky Pirate Treasure Walk." Bring your blankets for the movie and your flashlights for the treasure hunt.

Location: Island Gove Park, Abington

Time: Movie begins at 5:30 p.m.; the Treasure Walk begins at 7 p.m.

Folklore by Firelight | Saturday, Oct. 4

The Wildlands Trust's Folklore by Firelight at Davis-Douglas Farm offers storytelling around a campfire with ghoulish tales and hot cider. Participants must register in advance; registration closes at noon on Friday, Oct. 3. This event is open to children ages 5 and older.

Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Trunk-or-Treating | Sunday, Oct. 5

Abington's Trunk-or-Treat event on Oct. 5 at Beaver Brook Playground provides a fun Halloween experience with decorated cars and treats for families. Businesses and individuals will decorate their vehicles and hand out treats directly from their trunks.

Time: 10 a.m. to noon

South Shore Children's Museum Pumpkin Palooza | Sunday, Oct. 5

Kids can decorate their own pumpkin with a kit, participate in a cornhole tournament for prizes, make crafts, and enjoy environmental stations. The afternoon will conclude with a magic show performance by Awesome Robb. Admission is $15 per child, which includes all activities and the magic show.

Time: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
