HYROX, often called "the World Series of Fitness Racing," is launching its 2025-2026 U.S. season with an inaugural event in Boston scheduled from Sept. 26-28.
The three-day competition at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center will feature singles, doubles, and relay races, with more than 12,000 athletes expected to participate.
Event organizers noted in a statement shared with Endurance.Biz that 86% of the available tickets for the Boston weekend event are already sold. Organizers noted that U.S. involvement in HYROX has accelerated by more than 300% year over year. More than 70,000 individuals participated during the 2024-2025 season alone.
HYROX Chief Growth Officer Douglas Gremmen commented on bringing this special event to Boston. “Boston has long been a cornerstone of American sport, with a legacy that aligns perfectly with HYROX's vision,” he said. “As we accelerate our expansion across the U.S., launching the U.S. 2025-2026 season here was a strategic decision driven by both demand and opportunity. The East Coast, and Boston in particular, has shown incredible enthusiasm for the sport, making it an ideal market for us to build upon.”
The inaugural HYROX Boston event will launch the official start of the 2025-2026 U.S. season, which will feature 11 events, including new locations in Washington, D.C., and Anaheim, California. According to Gremmen, HYROX continues to seek opportunities to expand its footprint in the United States.
