The Public Health Museum in Tewksbury has announced its free annual health fair, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27. Flu shots, provided by Letourneau's Pharmacy, will be available at the event.
During the event, the museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is invited to participate in free tours, short topic discussions, and various health screenings, as well as receive free health information.
Additional offerings at the health fair will include the following:
- EPI pen training from the Merrimack Valley Reserve Corps
- Free giveaways
- Information about reduced-cost dental cleanings from students at Middlesex Community College
- NARCAN training from Prevention Partners of Northern Middlesex
- Nutritional screening with the UMASS Lowell Health van

The Public Health Museum in Massachusetts is at 365 East St. in the historic Tewksbury Hospital building in Tewksbury. According to the museum's website, the museum details the history of public health in America and the Tewksbury Hospital, one of the first public health hospitals in the country. Created as an almshouse in 1854, the hospital housed Anne Sullivan, Helen Keller's teacher, for a short time.
